There is broad regional and state support for the development of Nunduk as a regenerative tourism project.
Aboriginal Victoria through the Sale Local Aboriginal Network has expressed and written letters in support of Nunduk, looking forward to developing the strong Aboriginal ties in the local area also with the local Gunaikurnai community represented by Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLAWAC).
Nunduk has enjoyed strong support from the Wellington Shire Councillors voting in favour of Nunduk.
State Government support has been welcomed, with Minister for Tourism, Regional Development being great advocates. Local member Danny O’Brien has also been fantastic enabling the progress of Nunduk through the many government processes to be navigated.
Destination Gippland has been a continued strong supporter, particularly with strong leadership shown by CEO Terry Robinson and Board Member Nick Murray
Local Community Groups in particular the Loch Sport Business and Tourism Association have been great friends of the Nunduk team and are very excited about the opportunities Nunduk will bring to the region.
Nunduk obtained $1,000,000 in enabling infrastructure support funding across a number of key areas. Funding has been used to further develop the landscape design and preliminary plantings by Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL) in consultation with Department Environment Land Water Planning (DELWP).
